| First $1million event in Nationwide Tour |

All prize funds from national tours are set to become obsolete this week after the Nationwide Tour announced that it was intending to host the first 1 million dollar tournament between July, 10th to 13th – to be called the Nationwide Tour Players Cup.
A new record will also be set by The Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport that will see the highest first place cash prize in the tour’s history at $180,000.
