There is a three way tie at the Deutsche Bank Championship between Steve Stricker, Retief Goosen and Sean O’Hair. The final round will be played today and looks like it will be close as all three leaders are on 13 under.
Stricker has led from the first round and eagled the 18th to finish eith six under par. Padraig Harrington looks like he is back on form with a third 67. He is now joing with Kevin Na and Scott Verplank.
Tiger Woods has dropped back to four under after having a poor final round of 72. O’Hair birdied the last two which helped him to the top of the board. He had an interesting first round by dropping two shots in the opening three holes.
"I was feeling uncomfortable and nervous on the first tee," he said.
"But I fought back well and I was happy to shoot a 70 because the round could have slipped to four over very easily."
Stricker lost the first-round lead he had earned with a dazzling 63 after carding a 72 on Saturday and admitted he was "very disappointed".
"I don't know if I lost focus or what," he said. "I got tired, I felt tired at the end of the round. But I just didn't make any putts yesterday.
"So the emphasis today was grind a little bit harder on my putting and concentrate a little bit harder on my putting and make some good strokes, and I did today, which was very satisfying."
Stricker stands a chance of overtaking Tiger Woods in the Fed Ex cup if he wins on Monday.
England did not do as well as hoped after as they were shooting over par rounds. Brian Davis dropped two shots however Greg Owen is next to Phil Mickelson on two under. _________________ Golfballs.co.uk provides you best information to choosing golf balls and personalised golf balls.
